The Press Conference of Tour of Taihu Lake 2016 was Solemnly Held

　　On the afternoon of October 18th, the press conference of Tour of Taihu Lake 2016 was Solemnly Held at Nanjing International Expo Center. The Deputy Director of Jiangsu Sports Association,  Liu Tong, Director and Party Secretary of Jiangsu Sports Industry Group, Gu Ye, Director of Jiangsu Sports Competition Administrative Center, Chen Xiaoping, Secretary of Jiangsu Sports Competition Administrative Center , Zhu Xiaojun, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Sports Competition Administrative Center, Hu Weiquan, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Sports Industry Group, Wang Xianzheng, Deputy Director of Zhejiang Athletic Contest Center, Ju Weizhao and representatives of the stage cities, sponsors, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Sports Administration and departments of the Organizing Committee attended the conference.

　　Tour of Taihu Lake is an international cycling race named after the geographical feature of Taihu and created by the 13th Five-Year Plan of Jiangsu Province. Since it was first held in the year 2010, the level of the race has been upgrading in terms of the grade, scale and influence, which results from the cooperation between Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. 　　

　　Tour of Taihu Lake 2016 will be held from November 5th to 12th. The theme of the conference is “ Riding on the Land of Ancient Wu and Yue Kingdom, Pursuing Dreams in the Beautiful Jingnan with Six Years of Glory and Setting Sail with Confidence”, representing the promotion of marketing operation and the transformation from government-oriented to market-oriented. From this year, Jiangsu Sports Industry Group will formally take part in the preparation of the event so as to improve the public sports service ability, promote the development of national fitness and enhance people's physical quality.

　　More than 130 riders from 5 Professional continental teams and 17 continental teams will be invited to participate in Tour of Taihu Lake 2016 whose prize money will reach 300,000 dollars. The race will go through 9 cities, 8 stages that are Wuxi Individual Time Trials (Nov.5th), Wuxi Binhu Circuit (Nov.6th), Huzhou Changxing--Taihu Tourist Resort·Wuxing (Nov.7th), Anji Agriculture and Commerce Bank·Anji Economic Development Zone-Tianhuangping (Nov.8th), Suzhou Bay Wujiang Circuit (Nov.9th), Nantong-Haimen (Nov.10th), Xitaihu Lake · Wujin Yancheng Park--Xitaihu Lake (Nov.11th), Jurong Chishanhu Lake State Wetland Park--Maoshan National AAAAA Scenic Area (Nov.12th) respectively.

　　At the press conference, the OC not only distributed the propaganda film, but introduced the general information of Tour of Taihu Lake 2016 and the Amateur Club Race.

　　Tour of Taihu Lake 2016 will present more improvements and creation.  1) Individual Time Trial will be launched in Wuxi, which is an implementation and upgrade of Tour of Taihu Lake; 2) Amateur races will be held at all stages with a total prize money of 400,000 yuan. Moreover, the professional riders will also award the amateurs, which will be an inspiration and encouragement for them; 3) The TV producer and media-service provider, WME-IMG (American International Group), will be in charge of live TV production and broadcasting for all stages worldwide. Foreign media platforms like Eurosports, Asian Sports, Global Sports News will take part in the distribution of the event, so will the professional cycling channels of Britain, France, Italy and so forth. 　　At the conference, the OC released the jerseys （Santic） and the only officially designated car (Audi) of Tour of Taihu Lake.

　　The Sales Manager of Audi, Sheng Yongxin is delivering the key to Deputy Director of Jiangsu Sports Competition Administrative Center, Hu Weiquan.

　　　　What’s more, the six jersey models at the conference were all star riders of the Amateur Race of Tour of Taihu Lake 2015. The representatives of the nine stage cities unveiled the host cities by lighting the LOGO of Tour of Taihu Lake.
